Information Technology is pleased to announce the launch of the new uOttawa internal web search tool.

The new search replaces the Google Custom Search Engine. The transition from the older search is seamless and search requests from the global search box will now automatically be sent to the internal search results.

Support for the new search is being handled from the Service desk at extension 6555.

While the new search is constantly looking at all the uOttawa.ca sites it is possible that some pages may not show up in the results yet. If you are aware of pages on your site that are not listed in the results index then please submit a ticket with the specific page URL and we will investigate to have it added.

The tool also now allows for highlighted links to specific key words. If you would like to have a key word direct the search results to a specific page on your site please submit a ticket with the 'key word' and the URL. Please note that key words requests will be prioritized based on core university business needs and will undergo a review process to minimize overuse and conflicts.
