At the semi-annual IT townhall held on June 15, we reflected on the past year’s accomplishments and were presented the upcoming year’s objectives. CIO Danielle Levasseur took the opportunity to thank everyone’s contribution throughout the year and praised everyone’s dedication. Denis Trudeau, Senior Director of IT Solutions, talked about the projects that were completed in the group including those that improved the student experience, helped support the faculties and services, contributed toward improving research administration, and initiatives undertaken for Finance and HR. Michel Lapointe, Senior Director of IT Services and Infrastructure, discussed upcoming improvements his group would be undertaking regarding security, infrastructure, telecommunications, and service management. Enterprise Architect, Marc-André Morisset, went through the enterprise architecture roadmap initiatives undertaken during the past year and discussed some of the high-level strategies for the upcoming fiscal year. Lastly, Lino Amato, SIS Project Manager, outlined the critical cutover plan activities which will be required for the November 7 go-live of the new Student Information System and in an interesting highlight, presented the five frameworks that the project team will have accomplished that will distinguish uOttawa from other SIS implementations.
