Students: New procedures for free Office 365 software

Office 365 for Education which includes Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and more is available at no cost for students.

Registering for Office 365 software

uOttawa students can sign-up to the free service through the Service Desk. You can install the tools on up to five devices, and access mobile applications via your tablet or smartphone.

Log on to your existing Office 365 account

On January 20, 2018, system changes resulted in a change to the Office 365 online login. If you have any issues or are unable to access your account following the change, please contact uOttawa’s Service Desk.

The Office 365 Education tools are free as part of an agreement between Information Technology and Microsoft. Your license expires annually, but the tools are available at no charge as long as you are a student enrolled in a class at uOttawa.

Available for students only; staff should submit a request through their IT representative for University-owned machines, or purchase the Home Use program at a low cost through our Software page
