University Information Governance Council (UIGC)

Role

  • Maximize institutional value from Technologies investments and practices, and to ensure campus wide alignment with the University’s strategic objectives and priorities. 
  • Ensure transparency and an increased level of collaboration within the institution. 
  • Create and stimulate the critical dialogue that will lead to better and more informed decisions for Information Management and Information Technology. 
  • Make relevant and timely recommendations on initiatives and projects. 

Terms of Reference

MEETINGS

The CIO is the Chairperson of the Committee. 

The Council meets every six weeks, and/or at the call of the Chairperson.

QUORUM

Half the members plus one constitutes a quorum.

RELATIONSHIP

The committee reports to the Administrative Committee.

SECRETARIAL SERVICES

Secretarial services are provided by the Office of the Secretary-General.

  • Focuses mainly on academic projects and initiatives
