Manage your uoAccess account and password

Your uoAccess account is used to access many web systems at the University of Ottawa. Setting up your security questions and recovery email facilitates changing and managing the password of your account. As soon as you get your uoAccess account information, set up your security questions, your recovery email address, and then change your password. You can do all this yourself with ease anytime and any place.

Set up your recovery email

Set up or change your recovery email and security questions as soon as possible. Use this option when you forget your password and need to confirm you are who you say you are. If you forget your questions and answers, use the recovery email address to reset them and then to reset your password.

Change your password

Change your password often and regularly. Use strong passwords that are at least 8 characters long and that contain lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers and symbols.

Looking to change a password for a departmental account? Use the old self-serve system to reset the password for a departmental account. Better yet, submit a Service Desk request to convert the account to a Shared Mailbox and remove the need for passwords altogether!

Are you a contractor/consultant working for the University? Use the old self-serve system to reset your password.

Recover your account

Recover your account when you forget your password and can no longer access your account. You can use it if you previously set up a recovery method for your uoAccess account.
