Manage your uoAccess account and password
Your uoAccess account is used to access many web systems at the University of Ottawa. Setting up your security questions and recovery email facilitates changing and managing the password of your account. As soon as you get your uoAccess account information, set up your security questions, your recovery email address, and then change your password. You can do all this yourself with ease anytime and any place.
If you are unable to reset your password, send us a request and the Service Desk will contact you as soon as possible.
Set-up self-serve password resets
Self-Serve Password Reset (SSPR) is coming to your account soon! By using the self-serve password reset service, you can quickly and securely reset or change your password. An enrolment process has started to register all accounts for SSPR. We will be registering accounts into April 2021. Find out when your account will be registered.
Change your password
Change your password often and regularly. Use strong passwords that are at least 10 characters long and that contain lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers and symbols.
Looking to change a password for a departmental account? Use the old self-serve system to reset the password for a departmental account. Better yet, submit a Service Desk request to convert the account to a Shared Mailbox and remove the need for passwords altogether!
