- Storage space: The Google Apps platform provides users with unlimited online storage; students can archive all their email online instead of deleting messages or having to save them offline
- Collaboration features: Thanks to Google's next-generation applications, such as Google Drive, students can collaborate with each other more easily and efficiently than ever before
- Access to services from anywhere, at any time: A key feature of the Google platform is the ability to access email, contacts, calendars and documents from any mobile device or computer connected to the Internet
- Instant messaging: Students now have access to a uOttawa specific instant messaging system because Google Apps includes Google Talk
What is Google Apps?
Google Apps is a suite of messaging and collaboration applications that Google provides as a web-based service, rather than as software that you need to download and install. To access these applications, students can simply use any web browser on any computer that is connected to the Internet.
Your Google Apps account (Gmail) is automatically activated up to 72 hours after you have successfully completed your course selection in uoCampus.
