Information Technology is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathleen Webster as Deputy CIO effective August 31, 2020.
Throughout her 20 plus year career in the federal government, Kathleen has demonstrated strong capabilities in analyzing and solving technical, organizational, and management challenges. She has considerable experience in connecting people with technology. She also played an important role in IT, HR, strategic planning, governance, program development, client portfolio management, IT security, procurement, communications, and operations.
In her last position at Shared Services, she was responsible for the strategic engagement with the Canada Revenue Agency clients, including strategic planning, service improvements, governance, and joint IM/IT planning.
She holds a Master's in Public Administration from ENAP (École nationale d’administration publique) and a Bachelor's of Computer Science from the Université of Quebec en Outaouais.
As Deputy CIO, she will be responsible for providing leadership for the cross-functional management of IT across campus. She will oversee functions such as IT strategy development, governance, performance management, and the harmonization of IT direction, tools, methodologies and processes. She will also focus on developing our emerging IT capabilities, such as enterprise architecture, communications and building business relationships through project portfolio engagement and vendor management.
In her leisure time, Kathleen enjoys painting, reading, karate, crossfit and renovation projects. She is also the very proud mother of two sons, now young adults.
