Coming soon: A new way to connect with the Service Desk

Information Technology has been hard at work to bring students, professors and researchers, and employees at the University of Ottawa a new online IT Service portal. This is the result of several months of collaborative work between Information Technology and various teams from the Registrar’s Office, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, and Faculty of Social Sciences.

We understand that computer and other IT issues can slow you down. This is the reason why we are working on replacing the online service request form with this new portal and processes that will save you time and will help us better address your requests. It is intuitive and secure, and new functionality and resources will be continually added! It will be an additional channel for you, as you will still be able to make requests in person at the Morisset Library, and by phone at extension 6555.

Get a sneak peek of the IT Service portal now: Login with your uoAccess credentials and enter your request. If you are using the University multi-factor authentication (MFA), you will need to approve your connection via the device of your choice. You can already start sending requests, or do your own troubleshooting by searching the knowledge base. The portal makes it easy to keep track of the status of your requests. Even more, you can submit comments, add more information and include attachments  while your request is being addressed. And of course, you will continue to receive a copy of your request by email.
