After examining the usage history of LinkedIn Learning across Ontario and at the University of Ottawa, the contingency plans of other Ontario higher education institutions, and the cost of an institutional license, the University of Ottawa will not be extending institutional access to LinkedIn Learning and access will end on September 30th, 2020.
If you are teaching a course requiring students to access University computers or software (such as SPSS, ChemDraw, ArcGIS, etc.) for learning purposes, the new StudentLabs Service facilitates student access to these resources from off-campus. StudentLabs is an online portal that offers students remote access to these resources from their personal computers or via a web browser.
MFA required to access uOttawa resources: Enrol today
It is more important than ever before to be proactive in adopting a stronger cyber-security stance to avoid breaches to your accounts, research/files and faculty resources. One of the added security measures you can choose to adopt now is Multi-factor authentication (MFA). MFA will be a mandatory requirement to access uOttawa critical systems. Soon, accounts that have not enrolled for MFA will be prompted to complete the process in order to access MFA-enabled systems.
