What is your job title?

I am on temporary assignment as an Application Manager in the Web Services group.

How do you see your role going forward?

I have taken on the role of technical lead for the Perspective Web Project (PWP) which consists of transforming approximately 300 sites on by migrating them from the Drupal 7 platform, residing in our data centre, to Drupal 8, a cloud-based Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution.

Where did you complete your studies?

I have just resumed my studies here at uOttawa! I am part of the 2021 cohort of the MBA program at Telfer, which starts this semester.

What is your secret superpower?

For better or worse, I am a “problem-solver.”

In which countries have you lived or which ones have you visited?

I have visited the following countries:

  • The United States (Connecticut, Florida, Pennsylvania, North/South Carolina, New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Hawaii)
  • Venezuela (Margarita Island), Jamaica, England (London, Scotland), Japan, Hong Kong, Dominican Republic (Punta Cana), France (Paris, Montpellier, Nice, Marseille, Eze), Monaco, Spain (Barcelona)
What is your hidden passion?

Tasting new things. When travelling or exploring locally, I love discovering and trying new flavours and textures of all kinds!

Recently, a group from Information Technology had a west end meet up. I attended even though I’m from Orleans. I liked the little The Thirsty Maiden Cafe, which makes a great artisan Pumpkin Spice Latte, and excellent sandwiches and desserts.

What is your guilty indulgence?

Following SpaceX’s progress and achievements in their mission to “Make the human species multi-planetary.”

What is your unknown/hidden talent?

Road cycling. I like to do regular rides and big annual rides.

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

“Try whatever scares you!”

If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?

Rocket science.
