Google Drive File Stream for Researchers

Posted on Monday, July 16, 2018

Researchers can now use a new file storage and collaboration solution. Google Drive’s built-in sync capability ensures that files and folders are the same on all devices.

This cloud-based solution allows researchers and their teams to store large volumes of files and access these anytime, anywhere, on mobile or desktop devices. Files are often too large to send over email with colleagues on and off campus. Google Drive File Stream allows research teams to work from a shared storage location, across multiple devices without requiring VPN connectivity. Consult file storage solutions on Information Technology’s website for more information.
