Security is everyone’s responsibility. To empower you in strengthening uOttawa’s overall security, we’ve enabled a new button in Outlook to report suspicious email easily and immediately. Quick reporting of phishing helps reduce the success of malicious campaigns and helps us improve our spam filters.
See a ‘phishy’ message?
- In Outlook: click on the Report message button on the upper-right corner of the Home ribbon.
- In Outlook for the Web: open the email options (the three horizontal dots to the right of the email subject) and click the Report message option.
- On your mobile device: forward the email to phishing@uOttawa.ca.
Using this button, automates reporting and the deletion of the message.
