Remotely access uOttawa's network

When working on or off campus or even when travelling abroad, use the VPN client to safely access the University of Ottawa’s resources.

Need to work from a café on campus or from a conference abroad? Use the VPN.

AnyConnect, uOttawa’s VPN client, provides an encrypted channel to connect to the network. A Virtual Private Network (VPN) establishes a virtual connection to our network. The connection is private as it keeps secured all data communicated. What happens is that the VPN client encrypts the information your computer or device receives from and sends over to the network. Moreover, when connect through VPN, the Internet traffic is routed through uOttawa’s network.

Security is everyone’s responsibility. Connecting to the VPN to remotely access University systems and applications strengthens the security of all data. Yours and the University’s. Make sure you have the most recent VPN client and start using it today!
